Didn't see ya mention if your set-up is for pluggin' or slingin' bait.
9'er...I would think pluggin'.
I've had great luck with the Diawa Tournament ss2600.
Have 6 of them on various size rods for plugs, and with an 11' Lami I use for tourneys with small baits.
Excellent reel.
Comes in at 13oz.
Line capacity is great,long cast spool design,superb drag and can be had for $99 or less.
