A Saltwater Fishing Community...Where There Is No BS About The Sport

Lures, Lure Building, & Fly Tying If you use it to catch fish (or at least try), then this is the place for that. If you actually make them, then we really want to hear about your styles and successes.
What have you got to say about the topic of: "Those not Ho'd". Here's how is started: "Thought I'd post a few that I feel it's time to attach a price to "

Those not Ho'd Thought I'd post a few that I feel it's time to attach a price to so that I can afford to send CCT (Hummmm, maybe not) orders for more buildin' supplies. Like many builders I can get hung up on all of this "think outside the box" stuff. However most of the plugs that I've seen that are results of bein' "thunk" outside the box remain just there...outside my fishin' equipment box. I primarily make the plugs that I fish with..hell, that's why I started makin' 'em in the first place. Cripes I wasn't tryin' to re-invent the wheel, just make plugs that looked and fished like the ones that I've been usin' for years and with which I've had success! Needles and poppers of varying size and style are at the top of my game plan followed by metal lips and spooks. I might make some variations now and then, but out of the 12 slots I have in my "fisdoc" plug pack when I hit the beach, the majority are needles and poppers...NUFF said!

Hey Armand...you made my day..."YOUNG MAN"!! Let's put it this way...Bill and I are the SENIOR members of the gang when there are get togethers. If I can't ride to the spot on the sand where they're hitting the water has to be good enough for me to drop in MY Surprise (20' CC Sea Hunt) and run to the fish. There's a story behind that boat that got lots of play over the past 6 years. I still fish the short walks, points, small bays and breachways that I can park close to. Trecking miles down the beach like I did when I was MUCH younger are a thing of the past. Oh, I'll still SLOWLY make my way down a stretch of sand and/or rock making casts, but don't be in a hurry to gat back for dinner if you're with me! LOL Right now I'm pretty much TITANIUM from the waist down...back hips and knees. You don't want to be behind me in an air terminal! Just how much younger you ask??? Well lets put it this way...it was the mid 50's when I caught my biggest bass ever off Nauset Beach! We were fishing out of a '46 Woody, 2 WD buggy. Didn't have scales or tapes and my dad forgot the camera at home. However the fish was hangin' off both ends of the tail gate by a few inches! More damn fun than anything. I think we pushed as much as rode!
