Plastic Porn??? Plugs I mean

I had a request from a muskie fishman who visited my web page to build him some Acrylic Pikies. I thought at first it would be a no go, but more I thought about it I figured I would try. Here's what I came up with, I want some feedback from you guys. I'm gonna swim it as soon as the weather dries up some:

What do you guys think?

Armand

Armand...that brings me back to the days of the "amber/reverse amber" plugs of years ago. Some were also on the reddish side. I still have some in the basement..I think they were made by Atom. Man, they caught the hell out of fish on boats out of Rockport, MA. In mid to late summer when the water was just packed with squid they were killers in the Bay! Are yours solid or hollow? Those that we used were hollow and often times drilled and filled with a bit of water to cast better from the beaches. I don't remember slayin' from the beaches with those plugs, but on the boats they were really devasatating!
Yours look great..I'll be hoin' ya!!!

Doc, these are solid acrylic. They are 7" long without Lip and hook. They weigh a whopping 3.25 oz. They are heavy, I just swam it in the river behind my house and they are a little flat on the retrieve so definately need some rod tip action and keep the rod high. Solid acrylic is sinking material so it's much different to fish than wood.

Some of the acrylics I turn on a lathe but most on rotary Sanders. but it takes a lot of practice and technique because it can burn up quick.
