CaptDom - Not sure, but I think the Jungle wood that you mention is also refered to as African Padauk (very hard). I have use Padauk for a couple of projects and it will last forever. I also think that the Atlantic City boardwalk was made with it. I googled a website if anyone wants to check it out. My guess is that it would be a great material for lures. Bob
