| Eyes... Yes or no? I tried these big round eyes out but I'm not comfortable with them... A little too big perhaps? Blue definitely needs to stay off the green plugs. Look all right with the blue though.  Should I stick to the less conspicious eyes?

| They are a little big but I think they add another dimension to the plug. I'm no builder though. Nice job.

| Thanks for the input. I have a few hundred of these. They are 24mm.(just under 1") They were on close out for 59? per dozen so I bought 100 dozen. When they arrived, only a portion of the order was 24 mm the rest (about 1000) were the smaller sized 22 mm (a little smaller than 3/4") which were 3 times the price and what I really wanted. So..... I placed another order for the remainder of their stock and my fingers are crossed I get the smaller size in error once again. If not, I guess I'll make do with these. The blue color limits how I paint them as I do not like how they look with several colors but for the price, what the heck. 1200 eyes for $60, how could I go wrong? I figured they would do well as squid eyes if nothing else. Now, if I could only learn how to paint....  Thanks again. Jay

| Try removing the blue paint from the back of the eye (becareful that a solvent does not attack the plastic. Once removed, paint it any color you think will match the plugs nicely. Take a ball rasp and make several indentations along a narrow board to cradle the eye and keep the paint off the front. |

| I read that tip somewhere recently but I did not think the backs were painted. Wrong! Your post convinced me to look more closely and sure enough, it is paint and it comes off rather easily. If I need a few, that's what I'll do. Not to all 2400 though LOL!!!! Thanks.

| Most painted eyes are applied on the back of the glass, I believe, at least for birds LOL. I think(my opinion only)that plugs should be charachatures of bait. That said, I think features should be exagerated. I like the oversized eyes. Besides that, you've got a few in stock ;)
