| Good looking tails. I've been tying 'em for years. When I get my web site up and running I'll make 'em available. HOWEVER, as much as I like deer tails, I've found that the synthetics FAR outlast the "Real McCoy" and that's not just for logevity, they can actually take a few "yellow eyed demon" (blue fish) hits. Another plus is that many have a "sparkle" to them that does not come with real deer tails. I do add sparkle to the deer tails by incorporating saltwater flashabou...works great and is tough. The actions are similar..but dear tails are still my favorite. When the blues beat 'em up I just take the hook off and re-tie them. Fly tying head cement DOES NOT STAND UP TO SALTWATER. I use the same epoxy that I use on my plugs...lasts as long as the plug...minus the friggin' bluefish...Don't get me wrong, lb for lb I'll take the fight of a blue over a striper any day, but damn they tear up the terminal tackle! ![]() |

| Nice tails. I use this stuff for things like that. Real cheap and it stays together for the tooty critters. Moves well in the water too. ![]()
