Marilyn Jean Charters

High winds prevented us from venturing to the offshore seabass grounds but all the anglers on the trip decided that an inshore blackfish and ling combo would be fine so off we went. The togging was slow on the greens and whites but the ling cooperated hitting clams later on in the day . Six anglers had 3 keepers tog and 10 shorts released and 50 to 60 ling .

Tony,
How long are you pulling the boat for? What are you doing to it?

This years list

After a good long Bath Im going to touch up some anchor dings and put on some new chaffing gear where the rope burns the glass then some polish and wax

Since I painted the Trim last year Im ok for the coming season But the deck needs to be repainted and I hate the no skid I used on the Dash so thats gonna get a coat of something smooth.

Big Jobs

Im pulling the shaft and replacing it and while its out time for a cutlas bearing.
Im also tired of the existing stuffing box so Im going to go with a dripless and thats a project in itself.

Then its a full oil change including gear and hydrolic oil give all fittings and clamps the once over and splash were back in business

oh yea and if I can find all the proper parts Im going to install the auto pilot

If all goes well and the weathers not terrible 7 days 14 i I get stuck

If it goes as planed I will haul the last week of March and be in the 1st week of may

2 coats of bottom paint and im going to change all the underwater brass this year and cant forget the zinks that would be bad

Tony,
That's a huge list for seven days. Weather may play a role, do you have an enclosure? I'll be checking in every so often. Good Luck

inclosure

seems big but I will get the oil changes done before I even haul maybe this week.

Once the shaft is out and parts shiped out Then I can do the rest while I await their return 2 /3 days

I figure 4 days work and a few for weather delays

Thats with me and another guy steady plus a few helpers floating in and out
