| Hatteras Fish Report -Reel Magic March 31, 2007 Reel Magic cleared Hatteras inlet with Joe and Michael from Richmond at 6:40. 57 degree inshore water heated up to 77 degrees about 20-25 miles out. Headed to the 230 line and fished NE. The wind switched and W/SW and laid the water out very nice. Had a triple, went 1/3, then a double 2/2, and two more singles. Smallest YF was in the 30lb class, largest went 50 lbs. We looked at the box and decided that was more than enough fish and headed home. On the way back across the shoals we spotted some sharks high up top and Joe went all rambo on us. We started chumming and had one break off and then landed a 4-5' sand shark. Good fun! We had hits on everything from skirted hoos to Reel Dragin spreader bars and Lonely Angler turned plug chains! Video ... Hatteras, NC: May 31 2007 - Lo-Res (14 MB) Reel Magic is an official Reel Draggin Tackle Testor.

| Tags on Rods Great qustion. I routinely fish with a novice crew so I try to define a go-to spread well in advance. I laminated tags with a preferred rig and distance from rod tip. I zip tie the tags to the rods and also mark the line with red permanent marker or thread to match the tags. This way, my crew can drop the lines back to my target zone quickly and consistently. I make changes on the fly but this lets me focus on something else for a bit. Someone gave me a tip a while back (I apologize I don't recall who, otherwise I would give credit)! Jon |

| Thanks Jon. Great idea. You may want to post that in the Tips & Trick thread! Just in case you need more RDT stuff... Ken
