Newbie

Hello,
I am new to the board and wanted to intoduce myself. I have enjoyed fishing most of my life and enjoy sharing the sport with my family and freinds. I look foward to what you have to share and hope that I can share some of my own with those interested.

Some of my favorite fishing is done with my family; but mostly my 12 yr old son, at the Race and Plum Gut for striped bass and blues. This year I hope to take them chasing school tuna nearshore when they arrive and maybe a shark trip, will see!

When I am not fishing with the family you will find me in the deep. There is no better fishing for me than out on the edge. I don't care if it's chunking at night, trolling all day, or working a chum slick, it's all good for me.

Tight lines to all!

John

Thanks Gman,

It's great to read some of those posts, were heading Fla to visit my brother and get some time on the water him as well. Looks like you and Tony had a nice trip. I like the sword fishing, it's and opportunity to get them into offshore fishing without the "offshore trip" that we have to take up here.

Tight lines

John

Swordfishing was great, especially becuase we were close to shore but Anthony and i go sharking or canyon fishing all season long with Dom at Coastal charters. Anthony loves it and its a rush seeing one of those monsters in person. If you do any offshore like we do targeting big species i would highly suggest getting the angler saver harness. Its a harness with a D clip on the back. You can have a saftey teather made and attach it to the boat for saftey.

Anthony targets big fish so we want to keep him dry LOL all the time. The issue for kids fighting big fish is its hard on thier arms as most gear isnt made for kids. That harness has allowed him to get after the big ones safely

Welcome
