powder vs anodized................nbs

I build tops for a living both are nice, but with the powder coated types you are limited buy size,we built a three level tuna tower that was powdercoated black, we had to split it up in peices in order to fit it into the oven, this ended costing the owner major extra $$$, also if for some reason you need repairs or want to add rod holders or other stuff it poses problems for recoating such as derigging your whole top and electronics package. As for anodized , the brushed finish holds up the best and does not oxidize as fast as polished does, but is no substitute for taking care of your metal, we suggest using Rupp's Aluma Guard after saltwater use, and about once every month for when it is sitting around off season, I hope this shed a little light on the subject for you, good luck and keep her off the bottom....
