Keep the fish f you want, but to me this record is relatively meaningless. We've easily caught blues that big, and my son is only 15 as well. We just let them go, and so does almost every other fisherman out there.

It's a "so what" record because bigger fish get caught all the time by both junior and senior anglers and released. It's kind of like holding the igfa spiny dogfish record. ;^)

Not to diminish your accomplishments in any way, but if you want to chase a record, pick something that has meaning like mako or thresher.

Records are cool I guess. But it's still the fishing that keeps bringing us back.
