We know what Ethanol can do to an engine, mainly the rubber parts on old engines like fuel lines and carbeurator seals and stuff. Not to mention what ethanol does to older fiberglass tanks and even aluminum. I think Acetone would be ten times worse. I use that stuff to clean tools after epoxy work. I would be a little cautious if you are going to try it. Like Bob said use it in the neighbors stuff.
