The Acid Barge is a productive spot late in the season when the blue shark have been spooked hook-shy and picked through for tournaments - But this early in the season everyone with the itch (that'd be all of us) and a mid to large boat are pounding the Barge hard, and I think this year is worse because of fuel prices (close to home). The odds of getting a keeper mako or T shark out there right now are slim to none.

There are portions of the horns that well up water into a thermocline (sorry, that'll be my trade secret) or even a temperature break if tides run hard enough. Real time data is essential regarding sea surface temperatures. Water was 60.5 degrees at the surface where.
