lost giant

We left the dock in danvers at 4o am arrived at peaked hill at 7o trolled up some blues for bait anchored most of the day till the dogs arrived tried drifting still dogged out.we did see a couple giants busting on bluefish just before dark. We anchored off the beach that evening and the next morning anchored in the same area as the previous day and just before 7:00 am we saw another giant busting on blues just behind our furthest bait I let out our furthest bait another 20-30 feet and that fish took our bluefish screaming line from one of our 130s we made it out of the fleet without a problem weaving in and out of boats and pods of whales fought the fish for 35-40 minutes and pulled the hook.We fished the rest of the day with no luck. We were back at the dock for 7:00 pm it was a long 39 hours but we cant wait to do it next week.

Halfway there Mike

Mike,

You hooked up, at least you are in the game. I know many good fisherman who loose these fish due to no mistakes, it just happens. Kepp putting your time in and you will put one on deck. It was nice to see you out there the other day. Good luck, you will get em next time.

Dave

You must have enjoyed every minute of that fight. Sure it made the whole trip worthwhile.

I'll be out there both Sat and Sunday

I'm a rookie to the giants but thats what I'm going to do this weekend. I've got the 130's. I've got to buy a good kite somewhere (Ideas?).

Does anyone ever chunk butta's while the bluefish are in the water or are the dogfish just too thick?

A buddy of mine out of the Vineyard told me that 9 of his buddies all hooked up and landed giants on peaked hill using bluefish and kites over the last week and 1/2

Lookin forward to seeing that huge hole in the water.
