8-16............Stellwagen | | Left Green Harbor just behind Relentless this morning. Up on the bank at daybreak, find the bait, find the whales. Pretty good showing of boats, mostly well-behaved. #1 took a dark bar about 150' back, nice 52" fish released quickly (forgot the da*n tagging kit). #2 smacked a bar right in close, first in-tight hit I've had in a while. That was 46" and looked beat so it was bled and iced. #3 grabbed a long dark bar from the left rigger and kept on going. Unfortunatly without the line attached as the scissor swivel had opened (probably my carelessness for not checking it as I was resetting the spread).
What little wind we had to start the day died , the sun poked through the clouds and shut the bite off pretty quickly.
Had a nice visit with another charter captain and his crew while unsucsessfully trying to pull charlie up from down deep. Boat was back and washed before noon.
