Westbrook/Clinton

Another late morning trip today, left dock at 9:00 am. Didn't expect many bass at that time of day and I was right. Started at Southwest, 1000's of blues on top and even more down beneath, 2-8lbs. The guys caught around 100 and had enough, so off to look for bigger fish. Next stop 6-Mile, snapped jigs for many blues to 12 lbs. and only 3 bass to 32". The tide slowed so we ran to east rip, Marked very little and caught only another small blue. Didn't waste much time there as the guys wanted some porgies to take home. Ran to outer SW and drifted for 35 quick porgies, all the size of a dinner plate, a few just legal seabass and more blues. On the way in, stopped by duck Island to throw plugs into the boulders for a few more short bass and more blues. All fish were released except for the porgies and Seabass which were going to be deepfried in batter this evening. One more note was that all the blues were puking up 1" peanut bunker.
Won't be fishing inshore for the next week, as I will be on 3 Canyon overnighters this week.
See Ya All Next Week!!!!
