| 8/28 Falmouth Exotics 8/28 Falmouth Exotics Today Dad and I ran out of Falmouth looking for exotics around 1130. Since my boat is under aggreement to be sold we ran the bay boat. It was a perfect day with light winds and calm water. We ran less than a mile and found scattered schools of breaking tunoids. It wasn't long before we got a good shot and I hooked up with my first bonito of the season. The bones were big and fat and all were 7-8# and gorged with silversides. We managed 3 bonito before the albies took over. The action got faster and the shots got better. We had HUGe schools of fish showering Pnuts all around the boat. The occasional King mackeral would sky in the middle of the breaking fish, but we could not find Elvis. We did however do a number on the albies going 6 for 6. Including this one Dad got on a Rapala X Rap. The albies were all in the 10# range so fighting these fish on light gear was a blast. Final tally for the 5 hours on the water was 3 bonito and 6 albies. All were taken on 3" Rapala X Raps in black and silver. 10# on Lite rods made this some great sport. The water ranged from 10-50' and was 72 degrees early and near 75 later in the day. There were buddies of mine that were in the area and they did well on Pnut flies landing several nice albies as well. Overall a nice couple hours OTW with Dad. We landed a nice bunch of fish (all released) and burned a whopping 5-6 gallons of gas to do it. Now thats getting the most bang for the buck! __________________ |

| Fishing for Albies Terry, Nice report especially fishing with Dad. Fishing with my father was some of my fondest memories of him. Good luck on the new boat, I can't wait to see it or take a ride in it. Dave |
