Bluefin trip turned to offshore flounder

I was supposed to go out with my friends Jono, Corey and Timmay on Timmay's 36 Contender for some bluefin last Mon but it was very snotty.

Timmay asked us if we wanted to do some deepwater flukin (90 ft) and we agreed. It was a good move. We ran 22 miles SE of Cape May and set up for the first drift over the snotty bottom.

First drop my buddy Jono get a double header on an 8oz bucktail and trailer. It turned out to be that kind of day. Even my friend Corey who hadn't saltwater fished in 15 plus years was bailing fish. He wound up with three 5lbers and a 7lber and a bunch in the 3-4lb range.
