well we left saybrook. headed toward the tails trolled our way down with nada....set up on a ball for the chunk. put tuna baits/sword baits down. with the glow light deployed. within an hour mr swordie comes a knockin. get him to the boat. see thats it a 150/175 lb fish. he makes another run.pops the leader. he actually took a tuna bait and and sawed through the leader.....2 hours go by another run off..its acting different...it takes a swim abot 5ft past the boat lifts his head stops takes off on a fast pace...this time it was a 300 lb class blue marlin...very cool to see. pos the lleader....

lol...wanted pics...430 in the morning had tuna all around the boat..could not get 1 to take a bait. in this case sardines/butters.

.trolled back t the shipping lanes. pete had a 100/huge fish take a rainbow spreader. ripped out over half on the 50 tiagra. fought for app 20 minutes and the hook pulled..back at saybrook at 5.. so got to have some great sites but not a meat trip.. full moon and east wind might have played a roll in the night bite.....who knows...jim
