| 9/2 mudhole set up on the southeast bank and had loads of fun dodging high fliers and getting our reluctant live bluefish to cooperate. Looked like a parking lot today with lots of respectful people trolling right through our slick. Ended up with one large blueshark around 300 pounds. Sure kicked some butt.

| 9/2 report We decided to head to the horns area for a sharking trip. After an hour into our drift we had a boat work our slick with a couple of fly byes.Four hours of nothing when the deep bait goes off,five mins.later the hook and blue filet pops free. A couple mins. later a nice mako is below the boat eating up everything. Butterfly a pogie and drop it down and we are on finally. 20 mins. into the fight i go down to grab the fly gaff as soon as i come back up the line pops. WHAT THE F***. We calm down clean up and hit the troll for a while heading towards the mud hole on the way home. The flat line goes off and the 50 is screaming. My buddy grabs the rod and works the fish to the boat. I sink the gaff and a nice fat 48" tuna in the boat. The fish hit a green machine daisy chain.

| congrats on the tuna I didn't hear of any tuna taken in my area. I know there was numerous hookups with giants out there recently and that would be the explanation for the large fleet.
