Smile 1st blackfish trip

Got out today for a short trip. Checked out sw reef. It was the typical Sunday boat show out there, so we headed for the wall.
Both our favorite spots, you could walk on the lobster pot bouys so we squeezed into the are between them. I for the most part baited hooks, netted fish and fetched Maggie(the true fisherman) water etc LOL.
I lost one decent fish and Maggie boated a 6lber and one 16" fish. Lost a monster at the boat(est 10lber) it broke the damned power pro against the side of the boat. Maggie couldn't hold it out away as it took off under the boat the line hit the chine and that was that.
Short trip but fun.
Heading out tomorrow and hopefully, it being during the week we'll have a little more elbow room.

Yes it was a boat show for sure out there today.Boats were stacked up in the usual places. We went for some bunker early am but struggled for a handful. Tides were cranking with the wind so headed over to Blacks Point and threw some poppers against the shore and surprised myself with a nice bass on some light tackle. Chased a small school of Bonita around and threw everything but money at em, no luck. What a great day won't be many left. Heading to OC Maryland for some tuna this weekend but weather sounds a little breezy.

Yeah she did good and the harassing started. I asked her if she could swim in from the wall or would need to flag down a ride. LOL.
Got to get some more crabs, these buggars are hungry.
