Decided to try a troll trip in the Mud Hole. Unfortunetly the fog delayed the leave time. Anyway, we trolled from the BA bouy to the Little Italy and back , working the east and west wall. For our efforts , two fish one dolphin and a good size blue runner. Two for two, which made for a long day. Didnt hear much on the radio either except a 37"blufin about thirteen miles off the Inlet. He didnt say which one so I figured either Shark River or Manasquan. Both fishh hit the green and yellow zuker feather daisy chain. The other eight rods were never touched.
I also spoke to a boat on the chunck at the Monster Ledge. He didnt have any action either.
Did any boody hear of a 400 LB BLUEFIN being taken from the Mud Hole?
Someone told me a lobster boat caught one , but I havent been able to confirm it.
