| 3600 Tiara Open - CAT 3208TA Diesels I am considering selling……$142,000.00 Excellent boat. Canyon proven. Complete list of improvements too long to list here. If interested, contact me and I will send spec sheet. Boat is in the water in Portsmouth, RI and will be winterized and hauled in mid-November. If interested in inspection/sea trial, now is the time.
Holds 400 gallons of fuel and cruises comfortably at 24 knots with 30 knots at wide open throttle. Major rebuild in 2007 with over $90K invested. Both engines were removed and completely rebuilt with Caterpillar factory parts: short blocks, heads, injectors, raw water and coolant pumps, turbo charger cartridges, oil pans plus many minor parts. Aftercoolers flushed and pressure checked. New raw water coolant pipes. Twin-disc transmissions were removed and inspected. New spider gears to transmissions. Gear coolers were rebuilt. All engine components were inspected and replaced as needed by factory authorized Caterpillar repair facility. Engines were prepped, primed and painted in CAT Matterhorn white. All new fuel lines installed and RACORS were rebuilt. Oil change pickup lines from pans. New Northern Lights 8KW generator installed. All new wet exhaust components installed from engine back, including new fiberglass Centek Vernatone MKII water lift mufflers. Engine room was cleaned, painted and rewired. Two coats of silent running acoustical coating were applied to all engine room surfaces and then over coated with white Interlux bilgekote. LED lighting installed in engine room. Installed new holding tank, vaccuflush vacuum tank and switch, sanitation plumbing and macerator pump for overboard discharge. RI DEM inspection for No-Discharge Compliance certification for Marine Sanitation Device (MSD) valid through 2012. Potable water tank was replaced with new custom made 80 gallon aluminum tank. New 10 gallon hot water heater installed. All raw water sea strainers serviced. Plastic thruhull fittings were replaced with bronze. All thruhull fittings inspected and new hoses installed with double AWAB house clamps. Helm station was alwgripped and rewired with all new switches, circuit breakers and wire harnesses with custom made electrical panels by Common Ground Inc. New live well aeration pump and LED lighting. New macerator pump for live well and bait box evacuation. Bottom paint was sanded to original coating and two new coats of Micron CSC were applied. No osmotic blistering present on the bottom. All the running hardware was replaced at the end of the 2005 season. Two new Michigan Wheels DJX style NiBrAl propellers. Two new AQUAMET-22 stainless steel shafts with new transmission couplings and cutlass bearings (two per side). Cosmetic improvements in 2005 included all new 4-sided custom canvas enclosure. New custom helm seats made. New teak covering boards and under gunnels LED courtesy lighting. Four new Lees heavy duty swivel base rod holders installed in the gunnels in 2005. Eight rocket launcher rod holders on tower. Pipewelder double spreader outriggers have been re-rigged with new stainless steel spreader cables (2007) and solid core braided nylon running lines with AFTCO roller troller release clips. This boat is fish ready and a proven offshore capable fishing platform. Contact: wcanto@cox.net or PM here. I will get back to you promptly. |

| I understand the "bills" issue and if I bought the boat my wife would cause me a health issue by busting me upside the head. ![]() |

| The boat is definitely much quieter at higher RPMs; however, I am not sure it is due entirely to the Silent Running Acoustical Coating. I also did all new engine mounts and re-sealed the engine hatches with a good neoprene hatch tape. I do think the Silent Running helped some, but it cost me over a thousand dollars in material alone to spray two thick coats on all engine room surfaces. I did not like the finish durablity of the SR coating on the bilge floor (it will stain), so I ended up over coating with white Interlux Bilgekote. If I were to do it again, I would probably just awlgrip the entire engine room..... |

In a way I hope I don't sell it. But a quick sale would be nice. Kind of like ripping off a band-aid. It hurst less if it you don't really expect it. I will be listing with a broker in January. I hate to see 10% of the sale go to a broker! | |
