At West Marine we had a small clear soda bottle with ethanol fuel and water in it. The associate who had assembled this wanted to illustrate to customers that they should drain the water that forms in your water/fuel separator before you would get underway. He would shake it up, and the water at the bottom would then disappear. He then went on to explain that this mixture with the water would then be headed for your engine which is why you should drain things before getting under way. Of course, a few moments later the water would reform at the bottom of the bottle. I listened to his story and kept my mouth shut, but I really do not know what make of all this. I think the fire marshal made us get rid of the bottle!
