My son uses a Abu 7000 HSN (seated on a 7' Tsunmai TSCC 701XH) for springtime clamming/chunking of bass and in the fall for jigging both bass and bluefish. He's had it for 3 years and has not had one single problem. He keeps it spooled with #25 Momoi Diamond mono.
