Don't know if this matters, but I note that most of the jigs rigged with assist hooks have a split ring attached to the nose loop and then have a solid ring attached to which the assist cord is secured. From your pictures it looks like you are going direct to the nose loop . . . like I said I don't know if it matters.
As I was shoveling snow on Friday, Saturday, Sunday I didn't have time to ask you this - Have you actually cast these lures yet? It occurs to me that on a cast the hooks are going to run dangerously close to your running line. I wonder what the incidence of the hooks fouling the running line might be?
Maybe a stiffer assist cord like the ones found here might help:
