Lobstah Mercury 2.2 Outboard

I will get some pics, but this is a friend of mine's.

It is a RUNNING MOTOR!!! But is in parts right now. The engine itself is complete and wasn't disassembled. Somethign happened to the lower unit when he was trying to do something mechanically, I don't remember.

I'll get some pics and the story on what happened, I just don't remember LOL.

Anyway, I believe it's an '87, and I know it ran beautiful, we used to use it on his Jon Boat on Narrow River. Powerful little sucker. I think Merc had the best 2 horse out of anyone when it came to REAL HP. This one seemed like it was a 5 LOL.

Anyway, more on this later, just throwing it out for now for interest?

HA HAAA, I only wish you could have something to make that trip for.!! A whole season on Old Mud and A few days on the Compromise with NO Giants. I only wish I was still that much of an Optimist. Besides i always said i would NEVER sell those reels, They make good Paperweights you know.. LOL. I guess i just figured if i had to give up my first born, I would be considered a real Jerk if i wouldn't part with those Reels. Well Maybe one more year.

Unless he wants to trade !!!!

I have to clarify the post......the motor is not complete, well it is but has a hole blown thru the top..the lower unit broke when he was trying to change the water pump.and sat in salt water for a month. Everything else is there. well, except the piston. i sold it with the barnacles to a fish tank decorator. he loved it. It is in parts,in a stolen milkcrate, with the theft warning right on the side. but who cares. i will throw in the stolen milk crate in for beer money. 12 bucks.. but the engine itself (motor) is incomplete and in non running condition. so dont waste your time.

I'll put up pics ASAP, it slipped my mind over X-Mas.
