Well, after ol big_b78 scammed a few members here, I thought it good to post up a little advice, which I know those who got burned will hear loud and clear.

We all want to help out other fishermen, especially the younger generation, as they are future of our sport. However, this recent little lesson here has reinforced that forums are targets for the sludge of society. The best intentions and actions of our membership were simply met with complete disregard for the sport we love and pure neglect of any level of respect.

If, in the future, anyone should ever come on here again like big_b78 did, please make sure they build a good posting history before any consideration for any "donations" or transactions are made.

I will do the research should this type of activity come up again.

For those of you who generously donated, I do thank you, and am quite sorry it turned out as it did here. I am willing to bet that this person is the great minority, however, one can never be too careful these days.

I am not sure exactly what happened to get you so upset. I do not read every thread; only those that interest me. From what you wrote it sounds like someone pretended to be something he was not, asked for handouts to help kids and then flew the coop with the donations.

and made Possum all uptight. I really don't know what he is doing right now always on the computer. Yeah we broke 130 Member visits in the last 24 hours. Which is great. we haven't seen that number in 6 months. I have you know that was all Possum was talking about. Henry is a good guy.
