I got the royal run-around and finally was told that hull damage (ran over chained tires- bumpers off a barge)- was 'normal wear and tear'.
Understand.. I'd never put a claim in during 25 years of chartering.. had six witnesses/cutomers (never interviewed) and had a claims adjuster who was looking for his bonus.
$28,000. dollars of damage resulted and I was told that IF I had the work done (out of my pocket) that they'd 'consider' reinsuring me. |
