I have used the old and the new and I love them both. Gearing is different in the 5.3. There is less play in the gears and the handle is longer. I am going to get a 5.3 and put it on my bass rod and put the 5.1 on a new tog rod. Have caught tog and bass on the 5.1 with the soft rubber grip, has never been an issue at all. |
