|  Cleaning leader with alcohol??? Has anyone ever found this effective when trolling for bluefin? I know there will be a small amount of scent from oils and what not, but this seem a little tenacious!  |

| Ya, it seems like more trouble to bring along cleaning supplies than to just re-tie. Just seeing if you guys had any odd tricks up your sleve when it comes to scent.  |

| wash your hands with a small squeeze of original green crest and ocean....seriously. Especially after handling any fuel or lotions.

| I Capt. a boat in Morehead City,NC for Bluefin in the winter and I always strech my fluro leaders in the morning and never put them on the reel. It makes the leader run better and refract less light. I ALAWYS run the leader through a rag with alcohol when putting it out and after checking the bait, This prevents any Ballyhoo scum or any non-natural stuff on the fluro. Plus Never let the Fluro. leader onto the deck of the cockpit some nimrod will step on it and chaffe the Fluro. Its the little things that help the 10% of the boats catch 90% of the Fish..... As far as just re-rigging your talking about $40 OF LEADER on each rod you are trolling.... For Yellows and reg. offshore trolling you should always strech out those leaders that you have coiled up in your lure bags !!!! Capt Mike |

| Great. Im trying the crest trick. I already streched my leaders, but the cleaning was new to me. I see your point though. Any schmeg is visable to the fish. |
