Petition to ban mid water trawlers from Inshore !!

Hi , this is a Petition to ban Mid water Trawlers from fishing inside 50 nm. of shore. Also would be a good idea to send a copy to your Reps. and senators. That info. is in a box on the right. NO money is necessary. This is NOT meant to put anyone out of business just move them Offshore where the belong. There quota can still be caught, it will just cost more to travel offshore. After all these are NOT your fathers Day boats, they in fact Offshore boats.!! I am Sure the extra cost of going Offshore will be passed off to the consumers.

If you feel the need to help, Thank you. Don

Ban Midwater trawlers fishing closer than 50 miles from shore. Petition : [ powered by iPetitions.com ]

nice- now how about keeping any nets 3-5 NM from the beach. If a summer flounder can get through to the beach for a little r&r, they just might find my Spro.
Anyone else catch jumbo bass with a belly full of fluke?

It is also amazing to me that the quotas for herring stand at so many metric tons for each region for international and U.S. based commercial fisheries yet it is illegal to posess any bluebacks and alwifes for us.
