Speaking of Makos

Look at this slob just caught of Venice .... 775 lbs on 80 lb mono and a circle hook while tuna chunking in 20 minutes they stuck a gaff in it. the fish jumped like 10 times and it never broke off. That sh@#% would never happen to us.

Holy chit. I don't know, if I managed to boat side that fish, I honesly might consider photo and release. Not for the sake of the shark...LOL, but for the sake of figuring out how to hoist a 775# shark into a boat (high gunnels) with 2-3 folks...eek

No way that fish swims away...nothing a few tail ropes and a tow job wouldn't handle. As for getting it on land, I'd drive the boat up onto the beach if I had to, LOL

Once the 600 pound threshold is reached by me, I would then be all right with letting pretty much any mako from that day forward go, but not until then!
