Nasty Snag

Trying to get some opinions about the American Classic operation out of Lynn. Have fished the HH for years but my group is looking to fish next weekend on the 8th and 9th to hopefully get in on better fishing.

Also, would like to know if jigs and teasers differ that much from what we'd normally use on the Cape. Normally, I'd use a 99N or a 16 oz crippled herring and curlytails in grape, pink or white.

Any suggestions and again, opinion of the Walsh's fleet would be greatly appreciated.

Do guys fish bait (I know that's an awful word to some of you) on these trips and is it worth it to bring your own clams like it is when you fish the HH?

I went on the American Classic once and was very impressed and can not wait to go back out with them again. Jigs the Norwegian style and cripple herrings will work as will the teasers. Jigs have been out fishing bait by a large margin. If you do want to use bait bring your own but i would suggest sticking to the jigs as they got more fish and bigger fish.

Nasty Snag

I'm not a lover of the bait myself but some of the guys I fish with get tired jigging and often just want to soak bait. What I've noticed from fishing the HH is that the clams we bring from down here have always produced better then the clams they offer for boat bait.

Did you catch and haddock on your last trip and do you think it's too early to think they could be in the mix?

We went looking for them after we hit the cod pretty good and I only saw one come up through the cod. It was like 99% cod and 1% haddock, cusk and wolffish

I Agree With Nasty Snag always Bring Fresh Bait, I Have Heard From Alot Of My Customers That Arent Serious Fisherman That They Caught Alot Of Fish And Were Impressed With The American Fleet. I Have Only Gone On The Hh And Have Had Good And Bad Trips, But Always Good People.
