I think tagging programs are a great idea and would gladly turn them in if I came across one. I've played around with the tagging maps and it's really amazing to see how these fish move and their growth rates. I don't need an award to do the right thing. It's important to th fishery. I tend to think anyone who caught one would. Nobody is gonna catch a fish with a tag and say "hell I'm not gonna turn it in becasue I don't get a prize". But it's disingenuous to offer things to people you have no intent on making good on and in the end THAT may stop people from participating just becasue they are pissed off at being lied to.

I couldn't agree more. and these are the opinions that need to be heard. And also the fact that out of the few people that have answered this post all have either caught a tagged codfish or know of someone who has and has not seen a reward is bad policy
I cannot promise anything but I will look into this more but I can't stress enough for all of you to use the contact info and the questionarre. as this will show them it is a bigger problem than just one person complaining.
