When I was in NC this winter, the first mate, Wahoonbox, fished a planer on a dedicated Planer Rod. The working line was on another rod.
I remember the rod being pretty short, stiff and it was a bend butt with 80's.
Hopefully Capt Mike of Bluefin Charters can jump on this thread and give you some good info. on where to get these rods. They were very popular down in Morehead City, NC. |
