This is also how the few GH boats get back to GH legally. There is nothing illegal about transiting through the closed area as long as you follow the rules

To be honest, I never read the rules as I had no intention of fishing during the closure, just took the word from others that thought cod could not be in brought into closed area.
I used Walsh's as an example, only because he's the only boat I know that is fishing leaving out of the closed area..
