| Stephanie Cramer I met Stephanie Cramer today as she walked into West Marine. In case you do not know who she is, see if this jogs your memory. She is petite woman (young at heart) and has been heavily involved in a striped bass tagging program over more years than I dare mention. Her best day, in the upper reaches of the Thames River was 92 striped bass on a fly rod, using a single salt water fly that she had tied herself. When I asked does she make up any flies for sale she replied "I once made up two dozen for an order, but never again". Not all the bass she catches is of the rat variety. On one of her really good days she has landed three bass in the 42 inch category on a fly rod. Captain Anderson is no slouch either; he has reached a goal of tagging 50,000 striped bass. The tags cost him 50 cents each so his out of pocket expenses just for the tags ran him $25,000. |

| Cool. I wonder why only stripers (inland) get tagged. Would be interesting for others species like fluke/tog too, I think.
