| The Icarus II Report: 4/22/08 As I expected the Spring Toggin run is in full swing. Water temps are perfect(registered 52 degrees at the surface) and the Togs are very very active. Today I had Capt.Bob Allen and Bob (of the NBS duo "Bob&Mag" ). The three of us nailed about 20 Togs in just 3 hours of fishing. The smallest was probably 5 lbs, with several at 8lbs and my personal best, this 11.5lb white chin. Get a look at the head on this beast ! ![]() Oh yeah, if anyone ever tells you that the spring Togs don't want crabs, only soft stuff, tell 'em to call me. Everything was caught on green crabs. |

| We had a great time out there today. Jeter was even happy as there were plenty of togs to lick LOL. Notice the bottom half of John's fishes tail is missing. An old wound. Also one of the fish had two seal bites. You could see where the canines punctured the fish. Was great getting out. Season only had another week to go, so make the best of it. Thanks again John for the trip!

| Togs Nice report.... as I stated in a previous post the soft bait in the spring "fact" is total BS for Long Island Sound. Crabs always work best. Jack |

| Nice job! I was marking fish off Guilford in one of my best spots last weekend. I guess my mistake was using clams! I had some old frozen crabs from last season that I put down in a chum bucket, but was using clam on the hooks. No bites! Guess I should've been using the crabs! Thanks for the advice... |
