Could it be possible that you are both right. By refining less oil, the greedy oil corporations are creating a supply problem. Since Bush marches to the tune of the oil companies, he is not going to do anything about it. I was listening to the Mike Savage talk show and he seemed to have come up with a good idea. Since we have spent a fortune in Iraq ( American lives, dollars, and materials) in providing them with their freedom, why not have them pay us back in oil for our losses. I cannot believe for one minute they would not respond favorably since if we pulled out, those currently in control would have their throats slit the following day. It will not happen, because our oil companies simply do not want Americans to have a glut in oil because prices would then have to drop sharply thus reducing their windfall profits.
