The Icarus II Report: 4/24/08

Another suberb day of Toggin. Onboard for the first time was Jay (aka Carly2) along with the Icarus II usuals, Bob (of the NBS duo "Bob&Mag") and Jeter.
We fished for about 3 hours and boated about 15 fish, with a 3 man limit brought back to the dock. It was another spectacular day size wise with another double digit Tog (10lbs. caught by Bob) and lots of fish around the 8lb mark. The average fish is the largest I've ever seen. We caught one 17" that looked like a guppy.
Anyway, it's sad that the season only has just a few more days to go, so get out there if you can. BTW, everything was caught on Green crabs.

John,
Thanks for another fine day of toggin! It was good meeting and fishing with carly2 and Jeter never gets tired of helping out, whether it's licking the fishl, playing hockey with a green crab, or just pushing you out of his way.
I got my personal best today which was icing on the cake ... 10lbs (which was a goal for me this season).
The amazing thing is all the fish boated this season have been keepers. Even the small fish, as said ran around 17" to the 26" 11 1/2lber John caught the last trip.
Some very healthy fish out there. Get out this weekend if you can cause the season ends on Wed.

Another excellent day on the Togs. About 30 fish in 3 hours. A smaller average than yesterday, biggest maybe 7-8lbs..

Another great day! As John said fish were a bit smaller (no double digits today) but lots of them. Kept four fish total. Was dead calm out there.
Good Luck if you're going this weekend.

Bob,

Nice to meet you the other day. If your back is feeling better you have an open invite to join us on an offshore trip this summer.

By the way you mentioned someone I should contact about the shark thing, can you PM me his name.

Jay

PS: Thanks again John for the invite.
