Fishing Report April 26-27

I got up to Connecticut last weekend for a few days on the salt and neither day disappointed. Left the dock on Saturday morning at 5:30 with some good friends and hit the local hot-spot. Slow, steady pick with some white-chins in the mix. The wind was pretty stiff and it was hard keeping the stern where we wanted it. 10 keeper blacks in the boat when the bite shut off at the tide change. We called it a day but headed back out at 7:00 the next morning. Weather cooperated and we were able to settle in just where we wanted to be. Again we had a slow, steady pick with about 7 keepers. So nice to smell the salt and feel the deck under my feet. Great to be back at it.

Pat, thanks again for the tip on the hot spot. As usual, you were dead-on.
