5/7 Squid/BASS/Blues

Fished out of Falmouth MA yesterday with Capt. Scott Clay on the RIPDOG. We started out squid fishing yesterday with the fleet in the Hyannis area. Very slow start to the day but after a few adjustments we ended up gettting about 30 or so nice squids. Did see Capt. Dom out there with his charter. Pink seemed to be working best. Hopefully our efforts will pay off with these baits in the canyon this summer.

At noon time we decided to make a little run and see if we could find some Bass. Just as we entered Buzzard's Bay through Wood's Hole we saw some fish busting. For the next 4 hours we hung alone with this enormous school and managed over 100 fish with some keepers to 15lbs and a few big blues mixed in. All fish were released

Tons and tons of silversides/peanut bunker and birds everywhere. Water was crystal clear which made the fish totally visible. Nothing like being able to watch time after time after time, 4-5 fish chase your lure before one inhales it. Just an epic afternoon of top water action!

Lures used - kastmasters, storm shads in white and bunker color, yozuri smimmers and surface cruisers

Water temps ranged from 51-54 degrees

Good Luck Everyone
