| Bottom Paint Warning The next time you lift up a gallon can of bottom paint and the wire handle seems to be digging into your fingers somewhat more than usual, there is a reason for it. One of the three big bottom paint manufacturers has decided to save a few pennies, if that, by using a lighter gage wire handle. We are not talking about your $18 per gallon house paint here, but $200 plus and very heavy copper laden bottom paint. Strongly suggest as a minimum you save your old paint can handles (they pop out) before you discard them and replace the newer light gage handles with them as a minimum. Do not email me with the question "who is doing this" as I am not at liberty to elaborate further. However, this is not rocket science, the next time you purchase bottom paint, look carefully at the handle and be aware that you are not crazy.

| It happened in my driveway as I was about to paint the bottom of my rowboat which was upside down at the time. I hate painting bottoms when I am flat on my back. Much easier to flip them over and I was never in any danger. Paint spilled on the bottom and splashed onto me. Did not lose much paint as I quickly spread it out with a brush. Lost more of my temper.
