RELENTLESS June 3rd Report | | Capt Dave took the boat out east yesterday with four good friends for a day of groundfishing. We did not leave Green Harbor till 0700 due to the tides and got out on the grounds by 0900. It was whale city on the bank with eels on the surface as far as one could see.
The first stop produced great action on haddock picking through the dogs to get what we wanted. After a few short moves during the day we ended up with excellent numbers of large haddock, cod to 18 LBS and a few pollock and wolf fish.
The highlight of the day was seeing our first bunch of school tuna chasing bait early in the morning. It looks like tuna time is here and we will make out first tuna trip within a few weeks if the time allows us to do so.
It was great being on the water and once again we have availabity in June for both private and shared fishing charters.
PS. Pictures to follow tomorrow
Respectfully,
Dave |
