Last Friday night, I was stocking the shelves at West Marine and I notice a relatively new epoxy put out by the West people called "G-Flex". I have never used this material, so I went to the West web site to read more about it. They maintain it can be used for polyethylene. Starboard is a high density polyethylene so it would appear that this new product would be suitable for mounting a piece of starboard to your transom to accept a transom mount transducer. G-flex is relatively inexpensive so it appears that technology just might have caught up to us and solved a problem that we did not have a suitable answer to a short while ago. Still, I would like to know if anyone has ever tried this new product. I would feel better if one of our form members could come back with some feedback as to just how good this new product is.
