Ok guys here it is. This is tactic is money. I was keeping it a secret but alot of the guys on the bank are slowly finding out about it. So here goes. I have been slow trolling 9" slugos on 60 and 80 pound flouro. I thread the slugo on a heavy duty long shank hook. I have not found a hook that I really trust yet as they have all been bent after the fights. I have not lost a fish yet but I have been pushing the hooks to their limit. I have been trolling two un-weighted slugos WAYYYY back behind the boat and two weighted slugos about half way between your boat and the way back un-weighted ones. You can either weight the slugo with a heavy duty jig hook or run a egg sinker ahead of the sluggo.
