Thanks!

Thanks for the invite and I hope to contribute. Been making bucktails mostly for use up here in Lake Erie, but I can and will be getting into some bigger one's that hopefully you fellas might be able to use. If there's any requests, any types that might be preferred, colors, etc, just holler and I can get on it. Carry some slab spoons as well that do very, very well for many folks all over. I buy quite a bit of tackle in bulk so if any needs some pricing on something, maybe I can help and save ya a few bucks. Just shoot me an email at olepete@olepetestackle.com. Phone numbers, address, etc are on the site, the phone still work around here too.

Grew up out West, cut my teeth with my Grandpa fishing from Redondo Beach to the Columbia River. Fished a plenty in the High Sierra's, Lake Mead and the Colorado too back in the Rainbows hey day out there. Did a lot of the ocean work around Avila back in the early 70's. Spent a career in the USAF traveling around so have done a little of everything. Fished a lot in San Pablo Bay for stripers and sturgeon in the late 80's.

Again, if I can help holler. Got a real good man with a lead pot and powder paint so can get a lot done. Anyone coming up here to fish Lake Erie in the spring for some Hawg Walleyes, let me know if I can help point ya in the right direction.

Thanks again. Don Petersen

Don,

Good to see ya aboard. I'll be working on getting some more links up on a ad pages shortly (next few days) and I'll be sure to put your shop up as well.

Looking forward to what you have to say.

Hey, Lake Erie may be sweetwater, but it is one big arse water mass. I got stuck out in the middle, many years ago, during a bit of a storm...definitely reminded me of the ocean then !!

Yeah, I been over the Columbia and Westport bars in Gramps 15 footer. Run with him back then with nothing but a compass and our ears in the fog. But I ain't seen nothing like what this darn Lake Erie, ever. Goes from 0-60 in nothing flat, only it don't roll, it rocks! Fitting with the Rock and Roll Hall of fame on the shore I guess. They've been killing the Hawg Walleye along the shoreline from Cleveland to Huron; 10 pounders are common this time of year; many up to near 14#. Thanks again. Hoping to fit in.
