Marilyn Jean Charters I hope this weather last forever

Pat and his guys were out today for some Togging Along with Victor (learningtotog). The guys fished a long day as it was a late bite. Fishing with whites ang greens the guys had a Decent catch of keepers with 42 Tog coming over the rails with most fish in the 4 to 6 lb range and a few 8's and 9's mixed in. The a few drops had many shorts but the last one producd 20 nice sized fish. The water temps are still good and we have found some fish in all depths between 45 and 90ft.

Great job! The weather is incredible. I want to cry every time I look at my boat in the back yard. Of course last year I tried to extend the season and ended up pulling my boat in a foot of snow! It gets tough when the water freezes on the floor!

"I fish out of the Sheepshead Bay area, so I cannot offer you exact locations.
To catch rock crabs effectively you need to be on a open ocean beach, or very close to one, back bay areas do not usually hold these crabs.
Target water depths of 12-18 feet.
If you can safely anchor near a jetty, that is a good spot to try, you do not have to be close, 200-500 yards away is good. You can use blue claw hotel style traps, but they have a tendency to get stolen if left for any length of time.
The ring traps work well, you can see them in some of my photos. "

I cut and pasted this from another site so I gotta give credit to Jack HJ
