What scrappy fighters they are! I did not know sharks could breach completely out of the water. If I did not read the tittle of what I was looking at, one could think that they were porpoises from a distance. They must really have a fishing paradise on the west coast where you can catch such a wonderful game fish so close to shore and in a 15 foot open boat. It also looks to me as if they are trying real hard to piss it all away as well.

Oh hell ya. Both Threshers and Makos jump. The Mako however is the Air Jordan of the Atlantic and will out jump any fish out there. They have been reported to get serious air in exxess of 16' to 20' out of the water.

I have hooked up to 2 makos in the 200 to 300 lb range and both got in excess of 10' of air durring the fight one was caught the other gained his freedom. I have also seen a few free jumping getting even more air. Even had a little 3' pup free jumping around the boat a few years ago. A 3'pup was getting 3' of air 20' from the boat.

Sharkin is the Chit.
